A 6" 120V IC rated new work recessed housing. Constructed from commercial grade A welded steel for the highest quality fixture. Junction box is listed for through branch circuit wiring and has (six) 12" knockouts with true pry-out slots. An adjustable socket bracket allows the use of different lamp types and sizes as well as proper and consistent lamp positioning. An IC rating means that this housing is safe to install in homes with insulation. If you do not have insulation in your home, we recommend using a Non-IC rated housing, which can be found here. This housing comes with adjustable bar hangers that can extend up to 24" to accommodate joist spacing. Built in thermal protector will turn off the light, in case of improper bulb installation

Safety and Features:
With quality and safety in mind, this 120V new work housing features a built-in aluminum reflective shield to draw heat away from the UL Certified Medium Base socket. A built-in thermal protector will shut the light off in the case of improper bulb installation. Also included are adjustable socket plates that allow you to adjust the placement of the medium base socket to better hide the bulb from view.
Bulbs
This housing is designed to use a traditional halogen PAR bulb, but it can be upgraded to a high efficiency LED bulb. Please check out our LED bulbs.
